My daughters, Julie, Marla & Ellen taught me the joy of reading children's books. As the years passed, I started "telling" them bedtime stories that were simply made up on the spur of the moment.
A tradition of "telling" bedtime stories was established with first my granddaughters, Mallory, Alyson and Rylee...
...and continued with grandsons, Wyatt, Cooper, Hudson, Hayes and Ford thus limiting my storytelling fame to my family. It has been my fortune to read dozens of books to elementary school children over the years. Their joy, excitement & fun have given this old man hours of pleasure.
My first book, The Big Yawn, was an idea that sprang (pun intended) from the yawns my children & grandchildren "shared" as I told them a story. Over the years, I have accumulated over 40+ story ideas for children's books based on interaction with children at schools and my children & grandchildren.
I am honored to be the husband of Kathy Knight Kenimer. We are the typical high school sweetheart couple. Retirement is not a word I understand. That is why I continue my 40+ year career as a State Farm agent with the help of a great support team at the office. The next Bobby adventure is due out soon: stay tuned.....
